Getting here by train

Stroud (Glos) train station is just a few minutes walk from Merrywalks Centre and can be easily reached within walking distance into the town centre.

Getting here by car

Stroud is located off junction 13 of the M5 motorway and at the intersection of the A46 from Gloucester and Cheltenham to the North and Tetbury to the South and the A419 from Cirencester to the East. From junction 13, follow the A419 into Stroud town centre and then follow the A46/Merrywalks MSCP signs.

From the South follow A46/A419 into Stroud town centre and then follow the A46/Merrywalks MSCP signs.  From the North, follow A46/A4173 into the centre and then follow the Merrywalks MSCP signs.

Getting here by foot

The Merrywalks Centre is conveniently located in the heart of Stroud town centre directly adjacent to one of the main retail thoroughfares; King Street. The centre can also be reached via Merrywalks (A46), the main bus stop hub for the region’s bus routes.

 

Taxi’s

A taxi rank is conveniently located at the western end of King Street, on the corner of Rowcroft and George Street.

 

Car parks

The Merrywalks Centre multi-storey car park comprises 207 spaces.  Access to the car park is via Bath Street (Off Gloucester Street) close to the intersection of A46 (Merrywalks) to the West, B4070 to the East and A46 (Beeches Road) to the North. 

The car park is operated for business between the hours 7.00am to 11.00pm, on a daily basis throughout the year with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The site is manned on a daily basis by a NCP car parking attendant between the hours 7.00am to 7.00pm, supported by an off-site management team. 

During periods outside of the manned attendance, the site is remotely managed by NCP using intercom and CCTV installations located at the key locations including access barriers/ticket dispensers, pay stations and exit barrier. 

The Merrywalks Centre car park has three pay on foot machines accepting debit/credit cards, notes and change located on the Merrywalks, Mall and Upper car park levels.
